Job Description
- Monitor the organization's server systems, network devices, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Conduct routine system checks and implement updates, patches, and configurations to keep software and hardware up to date.
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify and resolve technical issues, incidents, and service requests promptly.
- Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various platforms and systems.
- Provide user support, including password resets, access requests, and basic system troubleshooting.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security measures and protocols to safeguard the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Assist in configuring and monitoring firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of new hardware and software components.
- Set up workstations and peripherals for employees, ensuring smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and ongoing projects.
- Assist in IT projects under the guidance of the Dev Ops, ensuring tasks are completed within specified timelines.
- Participate in research and evaluations of new technologies and solutions to support project initiatives.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to coordinate support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Track and manage hardware and software licenses, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
- Provide training and support to end-users on various IT systems and applications.
- Help users troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to improve overall user experience.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance system performance, security, and efficiency.
- Proactively propose and implement process improvements to optimize IT operations.
Job Specification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated interest and knowledge in information technology systems administration.
- Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and basic networking concepts.
- Basic understanding of server and networking hardware.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC-1).
- Prior experience in an IT support or system administration role.
